Hunting Around Sacramento Area

Wondering if there is any good hunting around the Sacramento area, planning a trip down there and would love to fling a few arrows while I am in town. Wondering how the deer/bear/hog numbers were in the Cache Creek Area? Just want to see a few, not banking on killing anything.

Very tough hunt,a few bears though.I see 1 every couple of years,good luck.

Was up there earlier this year in an overlook where I could see thousands of acres of hillside, all denuded by the recent big fire. Saw one deer, running like it's life depended on it.

You'll see lots of Tule elk :) The tag is 1 in 500.
I've hunted CC for hogs a couple times and seen nada. If you want to hunt hogs in California, public land is a tough venture.
