Anyone have any good tips on calling coyotes? Ive got a Fox Pro call but it's tough to know if I'm calling too much / not enough. Any tips would be appreciated.
Side note, my dog found a small moose leg (must have been a calf) yesterday on a run, and in the same area I found coyote crap loaded with moose hair!

Thanks pat. Any use for a moving decoy? Also, do you have the best luck with the distressed rabbit over all of the others? Thanks again

I wish the .17 hmr bullet had a little more weight to it for state land. 20 grns is the max I see.

Pat, would you use the fawn distress call now or would you wait until the spring?

A few years ago I returned a howl from my treestand at about 10 in the morning, in Newtown. When I first heard the call, I thought is was some other hunter. IT WAS, but this one was four-legged and heading towards me. It stopped within five yards of my tree, but the vitals were covered. I was at full draw, and as it stepped clear I swing with it, but the motion was detected and my arrow went over the back as turned 180degrees in place and lit out of there.
