Unit 590 rifle/archery

Looking to find out opinions of unit 590 for elk. Also what outfitter should I consider? Is this a good unit for riffle hunt? Appreciate the help gentlemen.

The area you are referring to (HD 590) is the Bull Mountains. They are pretty much foothills compared to other "mountains" in Montana. This area has some tremendous bulls, but A LOT of private land. So, access is key. I don't know of any specific outfitters for this area, but I'm sure there are some. You might send a private message to Mark DeCock (aka "maddeerhunter1"), click link. If he doesn't guide/outfit this area . . . . I'm sure he would know someone.

I have not personal experience in the unit, but have heard good things about Cottonwood Outfitters. It should be a good hunt for archery or rifle.
