Hello all! I am the one who sent this pic to Steve. I was not expecting this peacock to walk out of the woods with a flock of hens yesterday. Has anyone ever witnessed this before? And/or saw a hybrid peacock-turkey in the wild?? I watched this one for a while stay with the hens then joined another 25 + with 4 large Toms. Anyway, I'm new to the site and look forward to sharing with you all.

I don't think that you will see hybrids, kind of like Elton John hanging out with the girls:)

Bloodtrail, females are called peahens and they are gray in color with short tail feathers. The one in the pic above is a male "peacock"

I live in Shelton and across the road in the neighbors yard I regularly see a "lost" peacock hanging out with a whole bunch of turkeys almost every day. They don't seem to mind him.

Do you think Shelton has a peacock management program ?what a bru haha that would create..lol

From: BOWMEN

NBC must have lost the bird.

There was one in Chester I think that was sitting on a bridge in the news yesterday .Maybe a season soon LOL

That would be a helluva cross... Close enough that the eggs might even hatch, but (fortunately) I'd think they'd be sterile....

But I just googled it and I don't think a "teacock" has ever been documented
