Im glad they got them in the county I hunt in. Good to see. It never ceases to amaze me how dumb these people are . Posting it on facebook. How stupid. They also get their buddies involved that usually end up telling on them. Even though things didn't add up it would be hard to prove without the buddies talking and then getting a confession. I give credit to the DNR work for staying after them until they confessed. Good to see.

I wish the fines could not be reduced in these cases. However, I am very glad these criminals are going to spend time in jail. The photo in the article of the poacher with a face painted black and a tobacco can on the buck's head makes a mockery of hunters. There is a wide line of division between what a hunter is and what a poacher is.

A bill in Maryland just went to the governor for signing. It mandates a minimum fine of $300 for conviction of killing and antlerless deer and a minimum fine of $2000 for killing a buck.
