I got into my stand at 1900 Tuesday night and sat in the stand until 2300. Lowered the bow down and headed back to the truck. Got there at 2325, headed home and walked into the house at 0025, looked at my phone and had a text message from my wireless camera. First hog was on the bait at 0015. Not sure who is tracking who!! LOL

I have hunted many different critters in my lifetime, but public land high pressured hogs are the toughest to get.

I managed to check my several cameras over the weekend. The bucks that were noticeably absent during the summer seemed to reappear. One camera was triggered by a bear about every 10 days. The same had 3 or 4 coyote pictures and one of a nice sized bobcat. A nearby camera had a decent 8pt rubbing his tarsal glands together while (presumably) urinating (video). Numerous small to average bucks were present. Only one photo of a wide racked buck appeared 10/13(walking away) on a camera set to take single photos only. I've since changed camera settings to allow a single photo followed by video on a couple of cameras.
Wind from the hurricane 10/8-10/9 has all of the acorns down.
