I planning a pronghorn hunt this fall and thought I would share a few good links that would be helpful to "out-of-towners." Still can't quite figure out the road situation, however. Hard to find what roads are public and which are private.

Many of the counties have a gis page with a map link showing county roads. I also deal directly with the local BLM person who has authority to provide me with roads that have legal public access.

Those are three different links. My attempt to post them didn't work out too good.

Not every county has a GIS map system online, but the ones that do are pretty good. They can have some mistakes on them. Buy a BLM map for the area you are interested. The GPS chips are pretty good also but can have mistakes. The office of state lands has a site showing their state owned parcels but the access to them can be confusing on the site. Just know you can not cross any amount of private land to access public land, not even a small sliver. The forest service maps will also show some of the adjacent roads. Most roads here are public unless they are marked.
