28" is minimum length and (1) per angler is the daily creel limit in Connecticut - I'd say they are all keepers.
Ima catch, take photo, release guy... unless I get a request from someone who wants one to eat.

I miss the old 38" keeper rule,I still go by that.
They had a slot limit in the early 90's for a year..it was too complicated for most..something like keep 1 fish between 22-29 and 1 fish over 40"..

Nice fish for sure. Notme, I think Maine still has that same slot limit. it may be 22-28, and 1 over 40... But it's about the same. Definitely surprises folks if they are not used to it.

I remember when the size was 16 in and no limit we caught them on sandworms trolling around the islands in Norwalk

My son and I went out on Thursday and he caught his first blue fish and about 15 sea robins at the mouth of the river.
