Is this a Fawn Kill in NY?

I think so... looks like the fawn's front legs dangling in front.

Its not early here, most all our fawns are dropped by the end of first week in june. Maybe early for them to be moving about a lot. Looks like hind legs pulled up and front dangling. Fawn probably still alive, I have seen those bastards carrying them like that a lot, by the head and still alive. Shawn

Sure looks like it. I have 3 fawns walking around the yard for about a week now. I also have a very pregnant doe hanging out. Watched her the other day and actually saw the side of her belly poke out a bit.

I just got in from some long range observation and I saw at least 9 fawns out and about with mom and I did not see what looked like a pregnant doe although a couple 1 year olds could still be carrying. Pat I hope so too, when we had our bad coyote problem down here, the bastards killed almost all the fawns for a few years. That was in early 2000's. Shawn

Looks more like a mother coy-wolf moving a pup.
