I usually practice year round. Just a general question for the masses. When do you start practicing for Bow season? It is just around the corner, and I can feel the excitement!!!

Usually I shoot year round. In my basement from Jan thru April then outside after. I don't need to shoot tons of arrows....just a handful every day or so and it keeps my confidence up and muscles tuned.

How much? Two or three evenings a week. I also shoot a summer league at the club because it mixes up the distances and footing varies. I may put on some practice broadheads a couple of weeks before the season, but the difference is hardly noticeable.
Just prior to the season, I do more practice shots from above the target. I shoot a 62"recurve and where I put the lower limb for nearly straight down shots is critical. I stand on my picnic table and pick a spot on a foam block on the ground. I'm a gap shooter(no sights) and the visual distance is the same as a target ten feet, or more, below me.
