Hi, I'm new to this area. I recently moved here from Northeastern Wisconsin. So the complete opposite of country I'm used to. I left property back home which was tough to swallow, but I had a good opportunity. I still can go back to it, but would like something around the area. Just wondering if anyone has any input. Knock on doors, public, etc.? Thanks in advance.

Lots of public land in the area. There are places that have good numbers of deer and there are some really nice bucks but they are hard to come by. Thr cranberry marshes can be great hunting if you can find an in there. Good luck!

I should've specified on that. The city of Monroe, so lots of farm and corn.

Sorry, I assumed the County. The city is much harder. Not much public land and lots of competition. Private land will generally be expensive, but sometimes you xan get to know farmers and get on their good side by helping.

Actually there is a fair amount of public land close by at Yellowstone lake and more in the area. Yes you'll have competition. Learn to use the competition and you'll do fine.
