fawns looking healthy , I have been hearing a few single shots in the AM around me , bucks seem to know whats up by staying in the brush, I will have to move cams to the woods or I may not get any more pics of them.

Some beautiful deer!!! I'm from CT and had no idea that you had bucks if that Caliber in SC. I'm looking to possibly retire to there in a few years. Can anyone point me towards some good areas?

These deer are in my back yard , far better in other locations, I chose my home near wma , a bowonly area, I bought out side of town to avoid town taxes, my taxes are 550$ a year , in NJ 8500$ . I'm just outside Charleston, Santee Lakes and rivers just minutes north. We have some pigs here, research scdnr for bucks records , You would not believe all the studs, put your self in the slob areas.

Some good looking deer in your area! S.C. definitely has potential to consistently produce big deer but the brown it's down mentality and a LONG rifle season (4-months in most of the state) make it tough to hunt in most areas.
The new super strict 2017 regulations are out. Can't believe how tough the DNR is getting, you can only legally kill 17 deer this year. That's absolutely ridiculous.
If SC was a one or even a two buck state you'd see a lot more 140" + deer being killed.

that buck lived in my back yard eating beans and other food plot items all yr , I never took a shot at him , word is he got popped by a rifle and not recovered . I have seen huge tracks there again this yr and food plots being hammered . I keep forgetting to put a cam there . corns got ears on it already so I guess its time to see if he made it to this yr . And yea they shoot near every thing they see , yet there are some sportsman around that don't kill every one they see. I have the only beans for miles , so they come for miles , some stay and others visit from time to time. I am temped to replant an half acre of beans again , so I have a fresh stand.

I hear ya Weekender21, seeing the DNR was looking to tighten things up I had to move back to Colorado. r-man good luck this season hopefully you'll connect. Good to see the elk still hang around at my favorite little honey hole. ;-) (Bulls should be showing up soon)
