Never been to it, for those that have tell us what it is like.
I've been to Deer Fest a couple times and honestly it's not my thing. There are a couple venders that you can probably get some decent deals at but the majority of the booths are TV guys (or wanna be TV guys) who I find have HUGE egos. Stand in line for an hour to get a picture and autograph of some bleached blonde "hunter", no thanks. I know the kids love seeing all these people but I think an experienced hunter doesn't usually get to excited about them. There is an auction that one can actually get some pretty decent deals on also.
Also, some of you will certainly want to visit Ron Kulas at booth 605 in Muzzy Hall.
I saw RC, he has great products, I was so busy, did not get one of his bow holders, but I will,,,, his products were very good,,,, lots of fun meeting his lovely wife, and talking hunting with Ron....
I am down sizing my recurves in weight, so I bought the 125 grain Dirt Naps, to shoot out of my new 40lb limbs for my Buffalo recurve.
I really liked the Tactacam, I have to have one, however, not enough cash, going back on Sunday to buy one, along with a new trail cam viewer by Hunters Mate, out of Wasau, that really impressed me, as well as the price,,,,,,
There demand for it, is off the hook, getting calls from a lot of hunters,,, I sat in it, its perfect, will weigh 10lbs, it is dead, dead, quiet, the seat is really comfortable, the leg length is perfect...
for someone who is always on the move, like myself, it is perfect,,,, I will have that, two sticks, and I am gone,,,,,,
I told him, about my original lone wolf, how my last one was stolen, he gave me, for free, the back pack straps for the stand, when I get it....
they will sell direct, but I will get mine from the archery shop, have to support them, which they liked, and J Archery in Antigo will have them mid Sept, mine is already ordered, from that shop....
this is the best hang on stand, I have ever seen, end of story
I had two, a hang on and climber but when I would stand in them the low of my back would get very painful in a short time. Just like a knife cutting into my spine. No other stand has done that to me and don't know why LW did that. Other than that I liked them so wonder if these would do the same.
that was that stand that was stolen from me.... anyway, there new stand has been redesigned, the simple way it grips the tree, and hooks on, the comfortable seat, which is thick and light, I do not see how you would get any back issues,,,,,
by the way, Saturday I am at this trad shoot, and here comes a guy walking by me, with an original lone wolf hang on stand, just like the one that was stolen from me..... he never got far, I bought it for a hundred bucks.....
also, after DAquisto sold Lone Wolf, and that was a few years ago, the owners changed that stand, by the way it was made, so maybe you had one of their designs,,,,,
anyway when they come out, take a look, better archery shops, have there other models in right now,
I looked at the Millenium, too much screwing around and hardware, to get them on the tree, for run and gun, at least for me
I will be in your neck of the woods in Oct, maybe you can look at mine, when I get it, maybe we can hook up for a day, but otherwise, you should be able to find some place that handles them, to see,,,,,
For show price of 30.00 I bought a pack of 3. they were well packaged, very sharp out of the pack. On my 150 Carbon express, 3 fletch feathers, and 45lb recurve, they flew very well,,,,
I was shooting them at 40 yards on Sunday morning with no flight issues,
since I have downscaled in recurve weight, from 56lb to 45lb, I needed a head, like this, and found one....
I would still shoot the Ram Cats out of my compound, but for my recurve, these look good...
This Dirt Nap has a life time guarantee on them, if they ever chip or break or get bent, send it back it will be replaced......the guy said to me, if you get a pass thru and hit a rock, and it chips I will replace it, that is how I stand behind my design and product
made in Missouri........
another item I saw was a pack system, made by two guys from Missouri, designed to hold your bow and quivers and made very well, hand sewn, and it was only 150.00
I thought that Hunt Mate, was the best tablet I ever saw, to look at your sd cards of all sizes.....
I liked the tactacam, if I had an extra 189.00 I would have bought it

I spoke to the HECS suit guy, from Oregon, was not impressed on the material but he believed in it,,,,,
as usual whitetail adrenilin was there, bought there newest video, those guys are a lot of fun,,,,,
+100 Razor, that BS is getting sickening !
BTW, I did buy a Tactacam. Going to use it on my bear hunt. For the price, I had to try it. Hope to have it fine tuned when the archery deer season starts.
