I had to have some surgery this year and it has really put things behind with my deer woods, I’m going out to burn some weeds this weekend and will dump some lime and fert during the week then maybe plant the following week. I know this is a compact schedule to be planting but I’m under the gun a little. Anybody have suggestion on some seeds that might get going good enough by October? Thanks guys!

I'm sure there are others like Pat that know way more about the subject then me, but I know people that plant sugar beets, turnips and radish mixtures this time of year. They try to get theirs planted by late july to first week of August so you may be pushing it there. I think a winter wheat/ winter rye/ winter pea may be more what you are looking to plant. The guys I know use frigid forest products...look into their autumn quick plot mix. Josh
