Still lots to do to get the land ready. I have another stand to hang and another blind to move. Finally got some well needed rain in the UP.
My son and I have been doing lots of shooting, so we'll be good to go that way. High School soccer will cause him to not be able to hunt until late October. I held off hunting until he could be with me last year. It paid off though with 2 bucks during the rut. I don't think I'll hunt without him again this year. It would not feel right. I'll just spend that time Musky fishing without him which is something I don't feel icky about although he hates it :).
I would love to see the summer temps go bye-bye and see the colder weather move it.

I seen two bucks that are hard horned already, and even a few deer with there winter coats. Acorns have been dropping and so have apples. I even stumbled across two smaller trees that were rubbed. Can't wait for the opener, I just hope it will be cooler.
