That time of year again! Let the games begin!
Elliot G. with another spot-n-stalk trophy.....snuck into 20 yards
Yes I know, photos are not my strong suit.
Awesome job so far guys!!!!
Nice 6x6! Ended my elk hunting pretty quickly Saturday morning, nice problem to have I guess!
Elliot G. with his public land rainstorm bull yesterday......
This bull came in silent to cow calls and stood broadside at 25 yards.
What a beast Elliot! Got to punch my tag last night
What bow you got there cub?
Big ol whitetail doe at 15 yards with the longbow.
Well, I couldn't turn up elk to save my life...........but I did find this public BLM mule deer....spot and stalk at 30 yards when he stood up to feed, didn't finish packing him out until 1:00 pm the next day!
A couple days later, this nice antelope buck bedded under a cliff on state land........42 yards spot and stalk:)
After watching this guy for the better part of the summer, it all came to end opening day with 41.5 yard shot.
Spot and stalk 2016 buck.
Spot and stalk 2016 buck.
2016 Bull called into 12 yards during a full on rut fest.
9/25/16 Montana Ram (Rifle)
Nice ram Deflatem!
Looks like you didn't have to go too awfully high to find him.
Pretty sure this prairie runner may qualify for the record here in MT...the record for smallest critter. Passed up the herd buck at 30 yards (landowners request if I got close enough) and took one of the small bucks. Good news is that I'll still be able to hunt that area again some day :)

RuttinBull - you will enjoy that meat for a long time to come.
Here in MN, my pop and I along with 2 friends had 2 moose tags for the same area. They shot a 10.5 year old moose (49") and we shot a 4.5 year old (43"). The taste was fine, but both were really tough. Really Tough! Even the hamburger was Tough! (That is a slight exaggeration.)
We vowed that if we were ever lucky enough to hunt moose again, we would shoot the youngest bull we could find.
Got lucky enough to draw a 270 muley tag. Not the biggest deer in the world, but I sure am happy with him. A 7x8 with lots of character and pretty decent mass.
Before anyone questions my shot placement, he was quartering away at 44 yards, straight uphill. Solid hit on the right lung. He ran 25 yards and piled up. The whole thing was over in less than a minute.
Nice buck Doc! Congratulations again. Hunter
Huntrgreen- That's a fantastic buck . You ain't gotta justify nothing on the shot. You got it done. Great deer.
Huntgreen: Fantastic Mulie. Great shot as well!

Great buck svrelk, with an adventurous recovery too boot! I am glad you found him.
Thanks Scoutin'. Amazing how far some deer can travel with a lethal hit.. I hit high and back.. he reacted to the shot more than I thought he would... arrow hit one lung, liver and severed the dorsal aorta.. traveled 400 yards.. last 100 he wasn't bleeding anymore.. he was out of it.. After some time gridding I started glassing the river.. spotted an odd looking branch protruding from the water... talk about going from a low to a high..
Dang, great job with the persistence! Congrats again!!
I have two buck tags this year... and I got some film of my other buck on the hit list yesterday.. here's a screenshot..
I'll be hunting him with my son over or Thanksgiving break..
That's a stud buck Jim.
