Shot this toad on opening day. This is my first bear and I couldn't be more thankful... I am still on high. 20 9/16" score
No big game for us yet, but my wife finally got her first bow kill yesterday! She got a grouse, all that was visible was head and neck and she hit it in the neck. Now maybe the monkey will be off her back if she gets another chance at something bigger!
Colorado Labor Day, could not resist he gave me a 17 yard quartering away shot.
Arrow exited in front of the opposite shoulder
My 2016 diy solo public land hunt.

I posted these earlier on the Big Game Forum. My wife Cindy's opening morning buck.
My buck a couple of days later. Sorry for the "pose". There was NO way to clean that yuk off, so I don't have any good photos.
First critter with the new Hoyt Nitrum 34! Nice young 6x6 - Solo, DIY, PL, OTC.
Nice cow to fill the freezer. With no elk meat at home and a family to feed she did the job.
Couldn't pass this one up!
Shot this one a little south east of here.
Scott
Colorado, OTC with cap. Sitting tree stand at 6pm, did a couple cow calls when he came in and gave me a 5 yard shot. Did not make it 30 yards. I'm not good at scoring, but the taxidermist told me that he thanks it will go over 20".
My son's first archery animal...Great way to start!
I shot this bull on my dad's Birthday. He was supposed t be with me but just had reconstructive shoulder surgery. Solo backpack hunt. Was only a 10 yard recovery after the shot.
Was able to call this guy in on the 20th. Decided to walk back into a spot that I haven't hunted in 14 years. Guess it paid off! 2.9 mile pack out was not so fun.
JakeBrake! Season ended the 25th! day late don't ya think,LOL.
Ha!! That was supposed to say the 16th!!!
Thanks for catching that??
Lot less pressure on the 26th :)
Plus they are rutting harder by then too:) More of you guys should try it:)

One of these days I am going to get a bear in Colorado! They hate me...
PS - Thought you had at least 9 with the moose - so a 9 and an 8:) Gonna have to get lucky and draw that desert tag...
Big Congrats Ron!! Looks like a good goat!
Was able to catch up with this guy on the 19th after 9 days in the mountains.
Lots of great animals this year everyone, Congratulations!
Travis I have 1 Big Nine and 2 Big Eights now.
Jeez, you are gonna have to win a raffle or buy another couple of moose's and figure out how to get 3 desert tags:) Awesome work, Ron!
Congrats Rock. Glad to see you are still at it.
Travis, I am trying to space these tags out as I do not want 2 good ones in the same year. So I plan to draw the Desert Tag next year and then a Cow Moose a year or two after that.
Well at least I can dream about the Desert as it will probably never happen. But should get a Cow Moose tag sometime.
First archery Bull! Shot him the morning of Sept. 25. The last day! OTC and DIY! Best hunting experience I have ever had!!
Congratulations, Koppa! Nice bull to start off with:)
Hope you get that desert tag to finish out the "10", Ron! That would be awesome if you could get another moose in the bag as well. Good luck.
Congratulations on all your harvests. Good to see the traditional equipment guys well represented.
2nd Archery season was a success! Could not be happier. 2 for 2 on the Archery Bull tags OTC DIY Public land hunting.I was lucky enough to create another year of hunting stories with my grandpa!
Day before season closed.
Congrats Caz.! Looks like you had a great year!

Was lucky enough to have this guy come in on Saturday evening. Was the fifth bear I saw this year, and by far the biggest.
Was lucky enough to have this guy come in on Saturday evening. Was the fifth bear I saw this year, and by far the biggest. Had quite a few trailcam pics of him. I know they are close to hibernation, but I could not believe the amount of fat on him!
Congrats Caz. Geeezzz how big is your freezer? I'm sure we're only days away from seeing your KS buck photo too? Good Luck as if you need.

Missed a big doe when my arrow hit a tiny branch on a bush & went over her. Then this little one came in 5 minutes later. Tasty tender meat in the freezer anyway. Thru the heart & went down in 20 yds.

Congrats Chad! Real nice ram.
A Kansas last morning buck, I had a great hunt but couldn't get it done on any of the big guys.
Opps that was the freezer filler from the same tip, here is the buck.

Nice pics everyone! Congrats to all! The pictures below are all my big game harvests for this year:-(
We should not forget our feathered friends.
My son Cody with a Nebraska buck
Better late than never! After lots of close calls with some very nice bulls, this gorgeous big ol cow gave me the best shot opportunity. Sept 18. Making me very grateful with every delicious meal.
Hmm, sideways pics..not sure what's up with that.
I am proud of this shot. 30Yards w my bear Super Mag 48
