Trail Cam Pics - Sept. 2016
Wisconsin
Contributors to this thread:
I went out to my trail camera last weekend and I had 1200 pictures over the course of about 8 hours. Needless to say, I think my camera is acting up.
So...with the season starting in 2 weeks I wanted to start a thread for trail cam pics to get the juices flowing.
Let's see what you got on your cameras...
Why not just post them under the section "Wisconsin Trailcam Photos"?
Or you had a branch or weed blowing in front of the camera. I set up a camera on a bear bait to take 3 pictures every occurance and to have a 15 second reset time - bad move! In one weekend I had over 3000 photos!

This is the feature I referred to in my previous post.
I was out checking cams this morning and one of the cameras was not where I left it.
I have a good idea who took it since they left evidence at the scene. I will update after I confront them.
Good luck smokey I hope you catch the guy
Man what did you put on that camera to get them so close and even sniff it?
Tweed-
Last spring I spilled some gas on my hands right before I put my camera out for turkeys, figured the smell wouldn't bother the turkeys at all, and had all kinds of close up pictures of deer over the first week of the camera being out there. I never had so many close up sniffing pictures, maybe it was just a coincidence....or maybe not.
Trapper you should talk to the dnr and ask if they'd be willing to share the info on that deer. That is too cool!
Someone's pet at one time or another .
What do you think it is? A tamed deer?
Don't see the collar on the big buck Trapper? Don't look like he's going downhill to me? Looks like he gained mass and more tines? Confused...
Over a month ago, checking cameras this weekend and hoping to see this guy again.
You guys have some great looking bucks on cams this year. Wish you all the best of luck in your pursuit this year.
^Someone needs to caption the photo above.
Suggested photo caption - how about "WIDE LOAD!"
Every man loves a good rack n a$$
I knew you were crazy but now I see your nutz!
Sorry it'n from August but I just checked the cameras yesterday. This is on the new place I just bought. It's on my driveway about 75yds from my front doors
Zinger- your first pic with the 4 critters, are those cats?
Tweed, yes. I have 6 cameras out and in a 48 hour period the cat showed up on 5 of them! But that was the only picture of the kittens. No pictures of any cats before or after that 48 hour period.
Here's a picture of what I'm assuming is the mom.
Where are you? I have a friend near Ottawa with cats in his cameras.
I haven't been out since June, but here was a camo one from then (well, camo in winter)...
July 9th of 2013.
An oldie and a goodie.
Little buck has attitude...
Grunter - was is the orange glow in the top of the picture?
Reflection of a light when I took a pic from cellphone off computer
Some pics from a few cameras I have out. Can't hunt the opening weekend due to work but at it Monday evening.
I like this one. Not sure if there was another doe ahead of her but doesn't look that way as this was the first of a 3 photo burst.
heres a monster coming under a treestand near you. We get pics of a lot of bucks in the summer and then they vanish once the season starts. We knowingly over hunt our land but we have fun and its the only time I see some of the guys. We'll have 9 guys in trees Saturday night on 250. It balances somewhat out though, the last two years we've got 2 nice bucks that we never saw before. good luck to everyone!
Not sure if this one is over the hill or just a big bodied younger buck.
I have a few pics of him out of velvet on my cards yet not downloaded. Very skinny rack.
Dates are off on these next two pics. Not sure if I release an arrow if I have a chance of let him try and make it one more year.

These two are at the same location. Lots of action there.

The second at the same location.
smokey, did you ever catch your camera thief?
want to see this one in person
Rutnstrut, no I did not. The first suspect I had was not involved. I do have one suspect but no way I can prove it. I hope he gets feeling guilty and returns it.
I have zero pics of this buck until this one on 9/12. Maybe some last year but none that I can say for sure is this buck.
The water hole upgrade I did this year seems to be working.
I put out a coon trap there yesterday, now I need to pull them away from that area today.
There a couple of others that are getting up there for next year.
And a 3-some.
In need wind between North and East for this stand. Gonna need to wait a while.
Today's wind will be perfect for another stand that generally has a nice buck in the area.
Yes, coon traps in September. No use for the hides, totally critter control around the house. I use live traps so no unintentional critters will be harmed.
There have been as many as 6 of them in what they think is their swimming pool. They dig under the walls of my pole shed and do nasty things inside. They make a mess of the corn in my food plot and the farmers corn in the pictures above, they eat my cat's food. Coon are not welcome around here. Hardly anyone hunts them any more so they are quite a nuisance.
There will be more around later when the hides are worth something, I will pass them on to a friend so he can make a few dollars.
Todays nuisance report, one possum and one skunk did not survive. Heading to the store for some hydrogen peroxide and baking soda. :-( Not for me but to reduce the odor at the site which will be up wind of the house in a few days.
a few nice bucks hanging around
