This buck started showing up a couple weeks ago. Posted about it back then. These are the first daytime shots of it. Should be losing its velvet soon. Hope it sticks around.

It sure is a brute BBB. Saw it last year and it put on some good tine length this year. Lets see if it sticks around once the velvet comes off.

I'm going to bet that as long as there are some doe in the area that guy will be cruising come the rut. Patience!

One think I learned years ago, the more young bucks and doe I let walk, the more I saw bigger bucks. I always wondered how other guys were able to get the mature bucks? Hell, I can find deer as good as the next guy so what were they doing different? Patience.

From: rut

Patience is where it is at. Exactly. I let all the young bucks does walk. Free pass to them all. Mature animals are the only ones I'll draw back on. This is part of the reason why I see mature animals such as this monster.

Looking at that last one gives me the heeby jeebys. Last year I hunted watershed I had a buck that was this one's twin follow a doe in. he chased her around for about 10', then she ran up and stood 10yds from my tree. She was watching him, and I was NOT shooting her despite a wide open broad side opportunity. For what ever reason, that dang buck turned and walked over the hill the other way. I about cried.

Hope you have better luck!
