New 5C thread
Pennsylvania
Contributors to this thread:
Well folks, the old thread got to long I thought I would start a new one.
Final preparations have been made, and everything is coming together well for the annual 5C doe hunt.
Most of the committee will be meeting late morning on Wednesday the 21st to begin camp set up. At that time we will be rebuilding some of the picnic tables that need attention. You will also be able to be assigned a farm to scout that evening to hunt Thursday morning. We can always use the extra help with set up (as well as tear down Sunday morning)
As I type this it is two weeks to the hunt, and I know that everyone has been practicing. I would just like to remind everyone to check your treestands and all other equipment prior to arriving at camp, and don't forget your safety harnesses.
I hear we will have an even bigger "BIG TENT" this year?
Yeah, I have to go thru my stuff. Gotta find those binocs. ;-)

That was a good interview Dan! And Doyle was EXTEMELY complimentary of the UBP! :)
Thank Heaven he didn't interview Perry.
YA GOT THAT RIGHT.................
I been tuning all summer and testing arrows, I think I got her dialed in and ready
Yup, foam is your friend...
Bob McQuacker learn ya how to shoot? Looks like his groups..
Can't wait to get into a tree!!
LOL! Andy! Well, if that's really your target, I guess you will be keeping Steve company in camp this year! ;-)
I'll try to tighten up my grouping. I got a week still
I put 2 ladder stands together all by myself. Just finished up the 2nd one. Now, just need to get them on the trees, and for a few deer to walk by.
Good job, how's that Hoyt shooting?
Patty is shooting fantastic.
Was out at the campgrounds the other night. The grounds are looking good and ready to fill with campers. Looking forward to seeing everyone again!
I'll be pulling in early Wednesday. Downsizing this year. Got a new tent.
Darn, won't have that camper to block the dusk to dawn light!!! LOL I will be ready by Wednesday. Lots to do before I settle down, and settle into a tree.
I was out driving around checking some of thefarms tonight, saw lots of deer in the fields. One farmer said they had to have insurance company come in cause the deer ate so much of there corn

Sounds good Andy! We need to harvest a PILE of deer this year! Hope everybody is sighted in and ready to go.
I'm dialed in! Put my 3 shot group about 2 finger widths apart yesterday.
Just a few days left, hope everyone's ready and sighted in. Can't wait for camp whack a doe to start
Set a few stands, and trimmed some trees with Gary W, Amy, Patty and George today. We got our butts soaked. Hope the weather changes, and it's not so hot later this week.
We will be posting pics throughout the week of camp and the hunt for those interested. Looking to do good things for the UBP and the Hunters Sharing the Harvest program.

Bill V.
Tomorrows the day, cant wait to set up all the tents and see everyone show up. Should be a good year, just a little warm but no rain in the forecast
Hope everyone has a successful and fun hunt!
The dining room table is covered in archery stuff!!
I got a blind that I may try this year - maybe not in the afternoon b/c of the heat, but it stinks like new plastic. I am going to try to air it out tomorrow and maybe spray it down. Do any of you have experience with this??
If you're downwind from the deer, your blind can smell like RC and it wouldn't matter.
Morning hunt day 1 is in the books and we already have 2 deer in the cooler! Deer sightings at an all time high so we hope tonight will be as productive.
