I hunt a lot in the lower UP . Question is by me there seems to be very few 10 pointer's . All I ever see is 8 pointer's . Wonder if this is a location thing , or is there just a shortage of 10 pointer's in the UP ?

My cousin use to complain about the same thing. He had walls full of nice eights That he killed over the years. But he never seen a ten point.

The harsh winters do limit antler growth and probably point production. However, over the years we have taken a number of 9 & 10 pointers. It has a lot to do with age and growing conditions. If we can get a series of mild winters, a number of the older bucks will be 9 & 10s.
