New month with more excitement. There no doubt be many pics now as season builds. Go to the trailcam section for posts. It loads faster, more info. You can post more details here as well.
Smokey-That's a real nice buck for you to chase. Good Luck.

There is a survey question on the trailcam page when you open up a photo. "Would you shoot this animal?"
It doesn't let you say why. Some vote no some vote yes. Is no because buck is too small or because shot is a bad angle? It would be nice to know.
People have different standards for shooting but bucks alo grow different at different locations. In big woods where winters can be harder than other areas and food is not always abundant a 3-5 year old might have the body and experience but not the rack.
Second year trying to get in front of him was a nine last year. Thanks Trapper.
Wish I was in a tree right now. Fall colors are really shaping up and the bucks have been showing up during the daylight hours.

On my private land over my food plot for those that care. Two year history, looking to close the deal soon.

How old is he?
How old is he?
Never have used a trail camera before. Borrowed one from my wife's cousin. Not sure how old this one is, but hopefully I can make a connection and my 8 year lull will come to an end.
Nice body, thick neck. He's got a short face? 3 or 4 if he lived here. Cannot really age deer myself without teeth. If the have a 15 inch wide rack, and look like 90 inches, we call them 2. Anything with obvious mass like yours, adding in that chest, we say 3 or more. Your deer looks like he's rutting.
There was an 8 pointer making scrapes on the neighboring land. Would the does still be in groups if they are rutting? I have a few pics of does with fawns as well.
I see bucks chasing does with fawns quite often. It's not hot and heavy, but I've seen one doe get bred on the 13th, saw chasing yesterday, and today three little cruising bucks. I'm of the opinion that it takes just one doe to come into heat for the chasing to begin. They certainly don't come into heat at one time.
I was sitting over this water hole watching this guy and the 8 pointer he usually brings with him to the water hole. They got as close as 190 yards out in the picked corn field from me at quitting time. I snuck out without them having a clue, This picture was taken less than an hour after I bailed out. Is there a way to make the sun set later? I will try a decoy in a week or so if he doesn't make a mistake by then.
I will be sitting in a brand new stand that is more over in the direction he comes from tonight. Wind is right but hope it calms down a lot.
Lot of daytime activity, scrapes are opened up. Waupaca County
Best one I have on camera
5.5 yr old buck I call "Holyfield" since it looks like someone was chewing on his ear.
Finally got a picture of a buck that I assumed was still around since I had a trail cam pic of him the day before Christmas 2015. I guess an appropriate name for him might be the unicorn buck.

Another pic of same buck.
Another pic of same buck.
Interesting. On the Trailcam picture page under the photos viewers can vote would they shoot or not shoot that deer.
I posted two photos pf the same deer, different days and different pose. On on vote was 27/28 yes/no and the other pic 48/31 yes/no.
So why is there a difference in votes?
Trapper-That works! He's a good one for sure.
