Does anyone have any idea how the roads in this unit have been affected by all the rain recently? I am headed there on the 14th and was curious if anybody had traveled west out of Espanola on 144 I believe. A friend is pulling a 5th wheel so I wondered if there had been any washouts heading up the mountain.

Depends how far up 144 you want to go. It's definitely rougher this year than the last 2 years for sure. Hauling a fifth wheel I would go another route, unless you have atvs to get to where you want to hunt. Also be sure to get the forest service map as they are enforcing the road restrictions/camping locations this year.
