J.R., I killed him on a Morning hunt, unbelievable still. I have pics of him for 2 years and Never in the daylight hrs until the pic I posted the Other evening. He just waltzed right in, neck was getting swollen and his tarsal glands were pretty dark, he had been rubbing also !

I took this deer today to Bill Mason, I sent him a pic the other day and told him what "Jimmy & Gobbler" said mid 140's, Bill said he thought 130's after looking at the picture. anyway, when I dropped the tailgate Bill did a double take and said "you dont know what you got do you ?" I said I got grandpaw in Wirt Co, lol. Bill went and got a tape and started measuring and adding, he looked at me and said for the 10th time, this deer is big. He then went and got a paper and pen and started over-when it was all said and done, after the calculator, Bill said, you just dont know how big a deer you killed and he showed me the paper, 166 6/8 gross, and 161 3/8 after dedutions, Yep, I kilt Grandpaw !

WV Mountaineer,,,,I like to get my oil hot, I then use Montreal Steak seasoning, the Montreal Chicken seasoning works good too, I like to use Lard, or bacon gease to fry my deer, did I say GET THE OIL HOT before putting the meat in the pan ? lol,,,also if you use canola oil, add some peanut oil to it !

Hookman , I was useing a Rage Extreme, the arrow went into the fletch, the buck died running 80 yards away !! Sounded like a meat cleaver hit him, the broad head was intact and re useable.

Let me see if I remember correctly here. Two spring gobblers; a P&Y WV whitetail and a P&Y mule deer in the Sonoran Desert of Mexico? All in the same year! All this after major surgeries, rehab and NOT quite fully recovered from them. Gee Whiz! You're my hero.
Now... if we could only get you to dress the part. I heard a rumor; something about walking around in the cactus in tennis shoes and shorts. :^)

Jimmy, lol, no habla , lol, you and JR are way to kind ! I'm just a plain Good Ol Boy, as JR say's, lol,,, I will say, the 4 surgeries, all major and rehab in just over a year have really taken a toll on me ! JR, you are the best shot and bowhunter that I personally know ! Truth !!
WVBOWBENDER, what rabbits ?,. I'm shaky, Old, can't see and at times it's all I can do to put 1 foot in front of the other !
WVBOWBENDER told our Outfitter that we all new 1 another and that we all lived fairly close, he said he knew me for many years but hadn't been on a hunt with me, I interupted and said " did I live up to the expectations you had heard ? lol,, he said--Ron, you Surpassed them !
