are we behind schedule this season

Here in southern Illinois (Randolph), trees still green, No scrape or rub sign to get excited about, going to be 80 degrees on Halloween. Looking at last years October 20 trail cam pics, nice bucks were visiting scrapes at night. This year not yet. Seems like we are at least a week late. What are your impressions?

Every day gets better than the day before. The Big Bucks are out there. My son shot a nice mature 11 pt. the 24th after watching him and pattering him for 5 days. Rubs and some small scrapes have been showing up for about 10 days now. Pretty soon the bucks will be 'cruising' ...... get ready!!

Pulled two camera cards yesterday (Oct. 28) and had lots of doe movement at two different trail intersections and only one small buck on either card, but he was busy. The cards had been out for a week.
