Just finishing up a Colorado DIY rifle hunt.

It was day #3 and we had seen many deer and a number of borderline bucks. I had sprained my ankle pretty good day 1 so mobility was an issue.

As we rounded a bend there were two bucks on the hillside. They started running from our left to right. My buddy Randy Was spotting for me and said the lead buck looked good. I took an off hand shot at about 100 yards. I aimed for the high shoulder shot and he dropped in his tracks.

He gross scored 146 5/8" and his teeth are so wore down we believe he is 7 or 8 years old. We are sending in the teeth to be aged. Figured he dresses in the 180lbs range. A great morning!

My friend Matt also took a similar buck as well.

My friend Matt's buck score 146" even. He took his virtually the same time as I did, but 3 miles to the west.

Congrats Rob. Looks like a fun hunt.

In the first picture that looks like a 170" buck and in the 2nd picture it looks like at 146 5/8" buck.
