Dropped a doe off last night at the butcher's and his cooler was knee deep in deer and his hooks were filled. Some nice bucks and a bunch of does. Lots of deer getting tagged this week.

And....... That is why the rut starts a full 2 weeks later than the rest of the northern tiers. You betcha.

I work building and grounds at a steel plant with loads of deer holding ground. I cruised the woodline edge yesterday and saw 3 scrapes all that were just started and the grass still covering the scrape. SW Pa. No chasing the last week....

I didn't see a deer in 2B where I was this morning. My brother was hunting a different property in 2B and saw 11 or 12 deer with 5 or 6 being bucks.

My report is the usual. Another dink buck this morning. I haven't seen this many spikes and 3 pointers since the old Clearfield County days back in the 80s.

Good luck Dale. I'm not seeing much activity around my area. I know a couple of people living on the out skirts of town that are seeing activity. A pre set treestand with prior permission would be needed though IMO. The deer have been pressured a little and staying right up tight to the back yards.

Saw a 5 pt. and a fawn while on stand this AM in northern 2B. Kicked up 4 or 5 doe and fawns on my walk out around 11 AM. Monday morning will be my next opportunity to hunt.

Been doing some utility inspection work this week around a lot of prime habitat on both posted and non posted tracts of land in 2B. Never seen a buck chasing a doe. Would not of thought that was possible in the beginning of the week.

Saw lots more new buck sign while bear hunting this past week. Think I will head down to 2 B instead of looking for bear up here on Monday or Tuesday.

Rut has been kickin' all month in 2B!! Saw bucks chasing does every single day during the 2 weeks I was off hunting. They are still chasing.

Nothing "rutty" going on in NE 2B for me. Saw 10 doe and fawns this am and a small 5 or 6 point just meandering through the woods. I saw all the "shooters" the week of Nov. 7th -11th. Been pretty scarce since then.

Maybe in your area Herd. Hardly a scrape or rub here 25 miles SE of Pittsburgh.
