RE: NM - I wish I would have got him in NM! That would have been awesome....this little dude is a corn fed Indiana deer.

Corn feed muleys taste really good, I bet whitetails are pretty much the same. Congrats.

Full rut whitetails taste good, corn fed are just gravy.

Cool - WT are very fun to hunt. Especially if is all you normally hunt are elk and (mule) deer.

HDE - I've hunted whitetail my whole life and elk are a lot more fun, but boy do they stink!! Nice buck, especially for your first bow kill.

HDE, if you hunt elk all the time, whities are a blast. I'm happy elk season is over, it's a lot of work. Deer are a pleasant change. :)
Whoops... meant for bigbuckbob. It's all what you are used too. I love elk, follow them all year.

Those corn fed deer are some of the best eating. Congrats on the harvest, the first one is the hardest. Hunted every weekend for about 4yrs before I took my first at 16, after that it was almost like clockwork.
I've seen a few in NM 34, its tough huntin them here.
