I have been out bear hunting for the third day this week. Just wondering if anyone has heard about bears being taken with bows yet outside of the special regs areas, especially. Been seeing deer and even a rabbit.

I've been checking here to see if anyone posted on bear.. Haven't seen any posts other than yours.. I should of took off for archery bear. I've seen 2 bear in the last 2 weeks and I was not even hunting, it was from the car. Saturday night a bear left a present in my yard. Guys have been seeing lot of bear around where I live. One of the farms I hunt on said that there was 2 bear in the cut corn Friday afternoon. I really need to start hunting them.. Good luck Art.

We have seen several from our stands in archery season between New Bethlehem and Rimersburg. Very quiet here opening day of firearms bear season. Started snowing before lunch and the ground is white.

What a difference. Didn't hunt for bear today. But it was almost 69 degrees, bright and sunny 20 miles north east of Scranton today.

Perry,, All I had to do is slide the window open. 10yds!!! This reminds me of the time in deer/bear season that I didn't buy a tag. Saw the same 2 bear twice in the same day. Again no tag... :(

Good Lord, 740 pounds is huge. My buddy got a 157 pounder Saturday in Warren County and it took 3 of us 2.5 hours to get it out.
