Just seen first day orange army stats and it shows almost 4,000 drop the from last year.and almost every county is down.

Just looked at 2016 (to date) vs 2015 figures. Looks like about 4,000 fewer deer taken statewide this year so far. Plenty of time left.

Just received a electonic newletter....

Gunners only killed 66,759 deer during last week's gun season, down from 73,392 last year in 2015...

Statewide total annual kill stats been in steady decline since 2010:

2010 - 261,260

2011 - 239,475

2012 - 219,748

2013 - 218,910

2014 - 191,455

2015 - 175,745

No real surprise.......I think 2 years ago was the worst for me. I have seen more deer the last few years but I am not killing as many does on purpose....I'm not killing as many bucks either, but that's not by choice :-(

Once I think we have enough on the properties we hunt, I'll start to shoot them again.
