How do you guys like the electronic check-in? I love it. Don't have to drag a deer to local mom and pop store anymore. Makes it much easier. With that being said. I hear some of the old timers complaining about it. Not sure why they would complain unless they don't have a phone or computer. It does hurt the business though at the local check in stations I am sure. Besides the guys can't go to the local check in station and show off their spikes.

I like it. I can check game at my cabin rather than dragging it into truck and making a 12 mile round trip to checking station to have nobody look at it anyway. I really like it for gobbler season. I can check a gobbler in and have it cleaned and in fridge in the time it used to take to get to store.
It really isn't that hard, it walks you right thru it.

you are right gobbler. I usually gut my deer on the pole and not in the field unless I am waay back in and then I quarter it. I now don't have to put it on the pole and take it off and then to the checkin station like you said. I can not imagine anyone not liking it.

I am a big fan. As Gobbler said, it was a 12 mile round trip for a lot of years and then that place loses and it turned into 20-25. Have checked all of my deer in the last two years on my smartphone. Can have one hung, skinned, and the meat off now in the time it used to take me to check it in.

Excellent addition.
I'm not sure how much financial kickback happened at mom and pop stores for a ten minute deer check in exchange for a possible pop and candy bar.

Thats true sunday. But the lil store I go to depends on all those pops and candy bar sales. Now they don't have them. Are you suggesting that they might have been paid for their decrease in business. Where can I sign up for that? LOL

I'm not suggesting anything of the sort. I'm just suggesting ten minutes of work for many hunters that didn't buy anything isn't a good deal for shops. Ten minutes work for less than a dollar profit isn't a good deal either. The people that checked deer in at a location are probably still shopping there during deer season., IMO.

I agree but they wouldn't do it if there was not anything in it for them

Electronic checking is bad for the bow hunting counties makes it allot easier for trophy poachers a lot of these big bucks are poached now and never have to be shown in public at a check station decreases the chances of them getting caught

If i am going to poach a deer , sure not going to worry about checking it in .

Yep. Poaching is poaching and if you were going to poach, checking in the deer wasn't likely befoe either. God Bless

Like it, but I can see people checking deer in killed by others, checking wrong sex in. Of course a poacher would do this anyway.

Well an outlaw will always get around the law and the rules but for those of us that play by the rules it make is easier.
