Just wondering how many Assclowns you all have encountered this year in the woods? It never seems to amaze me how many guys still have no clue when it comes to bowhunting. From the guys who need to shine flashlights, like light sabors for an hour walking into the woods, even though there is a full moon. Guys who break the sound barrier climbing trees....Guys who actually believe they can stalk deer in bedding areas( while smoking)....Guys who leave the woods early because they are afraid of the dark.....guys who believe a 2 hour sit is a long time and should get down and crash through the woods to find a better spot....Guys who set ground blinds in the wide open without shrubbing it in and stick out like a sore
[email protected] who sit, stand, grunt, sit, stand, sit, stand, doe bleat, turn around, sit, grunt, stand, talk on phone, sit, grunt, stand, all within an hour up a tree. Sure would be nice if more guys had a clue as to how to hunt. Granted these issues are what I've seen on public lands. Best of luck during the cooler months and good riddens to some of the wanna-be jack-ass-early season dopes!
There is this assclown on on bowsite that has 200 hundred handles.....
I keep my headlamp on at all times when I'm moving in the dark on public so assclowns don't shoot me.... it has happened too many times to ignore. Lights don't spook deer. Scent and loud assclowns do.
I try not to look down on the people that don't know any better. It's not their fault they didn't have a mentor to show them the ropes. Maybe instead of calling them names you could introduce yourself and offer some advice and encouragement. Beyond that, it's their hunt/vacation. If they are enjoying themselves, good for them. It's their time and their license. If you don't like it that is your problem, not theirs. If you are so much superior to them it would seem that you shouldn't be hunting the same spots.
Private landowner for 42 years. Assclowns are born into the county dirt. Prosecuted many. This years darwin award was a wire lease hunter who sent a message by kllling a doe:/buck 30 feet from my wire, dead 5 feet apart. My combine went over the deer 12 hours later. 4 days later they call to say a doe was flopping over the wire. No doe found but we found the scum act opening day. The warden said no wanton waste. So you can shoot deer, have no obligation to trail even tho they are dead 30 feet from you. I hope they enjoy the coming years with a highfence in their face. Truly scum, immoral wisconsin dipstick ahole poachers. They did not shoot over my wire but i can assure u a 110 inch 2. Yo monster would have a phone call.
November I understood none of that??
Holy cow there are some pissed off folks on here right now.
+2 skoot
Dusk, if you are hunting public land there's not a whole lot you can do besides go find a different spot. Those assclowns as you call them have every right to be there just like you. It just amazes me how deer hunting brings out the worst in people.
+1 Konk. I mostly hunt public land, so I hope I'm not lumped into the "assclown" category, although by his definition, I meet some of the criteria. I use a headlamp so I don't trip on unseen logs/sticks that would cause even more noise. Not everyone has the best night vision, so leaving the woods early may be the safest option for them. Sometimes two hours are all some individuals can get to hunt - who are you to say they can't be sitting in a tree for that time? Just because not everyone hunts to the same criteria as you, doesn't make them "assclowns" or mean they don't know how to hunt...
I was up North with my buddies for the gun season. Driving through the Chequamegon after dark, I came across a kitchen garbage bag tossed onto the road with beer cans, food wrappers and tags and hooks from hats, gloves and other blaze orange clothing spilled onto the road.
WTF?!?
Why not drop it at a gas station? Why dump it?
It's not poaching, but it still pisses me off.
Funny, first a$$clown award of the morning goes to the one who stated this thread.

Skook- Well stated as well.
If I were a first time bowsite frequenter and opened half of the Wisconsin threads I would think that Wisconsin is full of a bunch of knob head babies who don't hunt much, and sit around trashing each other behind a keyboard. Sad state on here.
That's why I have my own property . I can be a dump ass without pissing people off .
I use the assclowns to my advantage. I like knowing where all the assclowns are sitting. If you are seeing that many assclowns then you are not in the right spots. I hunt some of the highest assclown pressured public in this state. I still have plenty opportunities to kill deer. Granted, most of my time is spent on a 300 acre lease in northwest wi, but I do get out on the local public as often as I can. Assclowns don't bother me. They help my narrow down where not to hunt.
I never walk in the woods during the dark or dusk without a light of some sort on. ESPECIALLY during gun deer season, and that includes muzzleloader season. Just plain common sense to be safer from getting shot, even on private land. If someone is concerned about a flashlight spooking deer then maybe a red or amber light would be a good compromise to be less apt to spook deer.
I also have some vertigo that is bad during darkness, that alone requires that I have a light on or I will fall or walk so crooked that most observers would think I am drunk, even on flat open land.
As long as someone is not breaking any law then their hunting tactics are their own business. Yes many are just ignorant about techniques that work or just don't care.
