September hunting

What are your thoughts on September hunting? Besides being hotter then hell I see deer in MA during bear season way more then in our deer season. According to my cams this year they became completely nocturnal in October until even now. I'm starting to think September may be the best time to hunt deer. Thoughts?

I think the heavy cover of leaves make for an easier ambush. Mosquitoes are a bother, and the heat means recovery and butchering can't wait. Most deer are unaware of the start of hunting season in September.
