Thanks guys....almost decided to sleep in this morning too when my alarm went off, thankful that I didn't. Got in my climber around 6 this morning, nice and foggy. Around 715 my neighbor (the landowner) texted me saying he just saw a big 8 waking down the ridge. Looked behind me and saw nothing. Sprayed a few burst of the trusty ole Tinks Doe-P and this guy came in cruising with the nose up a couple minutes later, wind was blowing it right in his direction. Took the shot at about 15 yards and he took off. Let him sit for about an hour until i went tracking. No blood anywhere i was a little worried, hit him a little deep but he was quartering away so i knew i caught the back lung. walked around for about an hour to find nothing. All of a sudden i hear a dog barking in the distance so i b-lined that way. A guy and his dog were waking through the woods and the pupp sniffed the deer out, the one time i am happy to have someone waking a dog through the woods! My biggest buck thus far, so thankful for the opportunity to take this beast. It will be my first shoulder mount.

He ended up Id say probably 70 yards from my stand down hill but his trip was more that that. He did a left handed loop from the last point I saw him running
