What are you using? Back in the Day used a XX78 with a 125 thunder head. Now I use A/C/C. 339 with a 100 grain slick trick magnum. Great penetration not opening!

Back in the day, XX75 with 125 Thunderheads. Now Carbon Express Maxima Hunter 250 with 100 gr. Slick Trick Vipers. The Slick Tricks don't leave a gaping hole like Rage heads, but I get a complete pass through everytime and a good blood trail.

350 gr. Victory VForce arrows with 125 gr. Rage Extreme 2-blades. I'd like to try Slick Tricks next year - any recommendation of which arrow to couple those with? I like the VForce, but I am down to 3 usable and need to pickup another half or dozen.

XX75's w/ 1-3/4" Rocky Mountain Magnums - Autumn Orange of course. Took me a few years and to start practicing w/ the big Rocky's to realize they were flying all over the place. I just loved those Autumn Orange arrows, still keep one in my case for luck. Now is shoot Gold Tip Hunter XT's w/ Slick Trick Razor's

Only shooting 47#. I believe my arrows are 2117, aluminum shafts. My speed is slow but my KE is good. Keep shots within 20 yards which I believe is plenty for the woods.

I shot xx75's with a 125 thunderhead. Now I shoot gold tip pro hunter with a 100 grain thunderhead. But I will switch from a thunderhead to G5 havoc on those windy days.

A 700 grain arrow at #48 pounds might not be the best combination. If I remember correctly you are shooting an older bow which would probably magnify that.

Might not be the best if you're shooting for speed but the kinetic energy coupled with a 2 blade broadhead is great.
Check out the heavy set up trad guys use.
