So if anyone was following my last hunt they would of seen my bottom pin broke.. Not the pin but the little fluorescent piece that makes the dot bright. I was out practicing tonight and I noticed it did make a big difference in seeing the target. Does anyone have any ideas how to brighten up the end if the pin so I can see it better? I dont want to buy a new sight and have to adjust this late in the season.. Or is it a lost cause and its just gotta be replaced??

1. Get closer to the deer thus needing only top pin.
2. Replace the fiber strand you ripped.
3. Using tritium, fluorescent / luminescent or any paint in pure white will help.

Swap them around and use the bright pin for a more distant shot.
Replacement fibers are listed on ebay.
I mix latex enamel with two-part epoxy for my gun sights. I use both white and orange and it does not flake off.

they sell different thickness fiber optic wires, so you can use one that's a bit thicker for more light, just don't go so thick that you blot out your target zone. The sight I use traps extra fiber optic wire in a case so it picks up more light and transmits it to the end of the pin.

Hey ,Shawn. I have sights , arrow rests , carbon express arrows 28" and broadheads. All are from my daughter's bow. She is more into gun hunting now. You are welcome to have them. Just collecting dust now. I am a stickbow hunter and have no use for them. If you are interested let me know. I am in Salem not to far way. If someone can use them that's all the matters. Thanks

Absolutely westline72. I could use a new sight pin that's for sure and even though I do have 3 good broadheads I would like to have at least the arrows i carry with me with good broadheads. A lot of you guys have helped out a ton this year. Bloodtrail gave me a new drop away rest and new viper trick broadheads and Silverado sent me a brand new safety harness. Also Yukon roz made an extremely generous offer to help me clean up the massive mess..

They sell sights.

I know they sell them I was just trying to figure something else out so I could save the money.. Bought this at the store the other day and got it sighted in.. My other one was destroyed.. It had soo much super glue on it the deer could probably smell me 5 miles away. Two out of the three broke and then the ring around the pins. It was a lost cause

If the sight has a light on it, I would avoid using it. They came out with a lighted sight years ago and it only brought the deer's attention to my location, so while watching the deer run away I was able to see my pins clearly :(

Hey thanks a lot guys. I absolutely love it.. Such a difference from my other bow.. I cant believe how nice it shoots. I got it set at 60 lbs and what's really cool I can fully adjust my bow without a press. I can adjust the draw length and poundage myself. So I got it set at 29" draw and 60 lbs. I'm so happy with it. I bought myself a climber but returned it when I noticed half the stuff was missing. I got soo many cool hunting accessories that I just couldn't get this year.. Face makeup the ez hanger. I got a package of 3 tresstand locks to. Grime boss wipes.. Deer target to put in front of my new Rinehart target. I got a full new hunting outfit for the beginning of the season. All mossy oak break up infinity. And I got plenty of scent spray and soap body wash.. I got all these cool accessories because most were on sale. My bow wad $347 and on sale for $169.. Couldn't beat the price.. I'm so happy that my new upcoming season I will be extremely prepared and ready to go. 2 new trail cams.. I'm like a kid in the candy store!!

Nice rig Shawn!! The best thing about getting a new bow, is you're going to spend more time shooting it and that's going to build better groupings and better confidence. When I got my Bowtech I was amazed at the technological difference from my old PSE. It shoots so much smoother, less recoil, more let off, adjustable draw length, adjustable poundage, and great speed (speed is not everything, accuracy is).
The hard part - the season is over.

O trust me with all the money I've spent on hunting she came first!! I'm up to just over $1,700 this year on hunting.. Man that's a lot. I know to some of you its prob what u spent on your bow but to me this is a lot of money.

Holy SPIT, Shawn! If I subtract the little longbow I got for my younger son when he was 5, I don't think I've got $1700 tied up in the entire arsenal!
And Life being what it is, wouldn't you know that the one that I have the most money into is the one that gets shot the least....

Don't ever use that figure to justify the cost per pound of your venison.....You are way better off going to the store and buying beef and eating like a king all year. Haha.
From: shawnm

O I wont. Almost everything I bought is to make my hunting experience easier.. Range finder.. Deer drag.. I sure didn't need a summer hunting outfit a late summer outfit and a full winter outfit.. All these things are just to guide me and help me getting a deer. And look I spent less than 200 on my bow and I love it.. No twang.. No vibration.. Shoots sooo smooth
From: bigbuckbob

shawnm - all that stuff is going to get more deer killed which will make your hunt more difficult because then you have dress the deer and drag it out of the woods. :) Sometimes difficult is more fun.

FYI Don't forget to mention what you have spent if you are sent a survey by the DEEP. It is easy to not realize how much we spend on hunting over the course of a year. I always include the costs for membership at my fish and game club, hunting dog costs, clothes, etc. It adds up. Often to the tune of over 2K. I assume the DEEP uses the dollar value spent on hunting activity as a way to measure the impact we have on the economy. Don't short change us or yourself.

You need to buy the fiber and touch it with a lighter on the end to make it swell and not be able to pass through the pin hole it's super easy to do and you can change the colors to suit your preference.. good luck
