Was wondering if deer are starting to drop their antlers yet

Had a friend take a 6 pointer in Newtown that he has been tracking via game camera for several weeks when he got it on Thursday it had dropped both sides of the rack. Just the marks where the antlers were.

Don't have one trail cam pic of any shed bucks. All of mine are holding strong.

I've gone out 4 times in the last 2 weeks and haven't found any ... Seeing a lot of rubs scrapes etc.

still a bit early, but I like to hike and scout, so........it's all good.

I have seen four bucks in the last week and all had their racks still. Yesterday was my last day out and I could only watch a coyote chase about seven deer around the ridges at eighty plus yards, of course nothing came within range.

Found this guys sheds yesterday. They were touching each other on the ground.

Hey Wilbur what area is that? I don't have any shed bucks yet, all are still holding. I'm gonna keep the cams out to get a gauge on this when to start looking around here. I never have much luck but you never know.

I don't think they don't start down here till mid February..maybe has something to do with the lack of testicle juice and usually brutal cold

Greater Hartford area. All of the mature bucks have shed. The smaller ones are still packing.

Looks like I had one shed. Seems to be a youngster judging by his pedicle size.
