Spent a couple hours covering a lot of ground on the quad Sunday morning. Saw 3 resident does in a familiar place that looked quite healthy and a couple of scrapes that are being hit. This one is on a gas line and the trail leads up over the hill towards some fields.

The other one is along a creek bottom where they come out around dark. Both are there every year. No sheds yet however. The ground is real wet and the creeks that were dry in bow season are now too wide to jump across.

The beavers have been busy and the pond is at its deepest level in ages. Need to get some trapped out.

The turkeys are very scarce around the house this year. First time for many years. More coyote tracks than at any other year, but I'm not finding feathers?

Two gobblers and 6 hens finally showed up this week. Have no idea as why so late, normally we see them in late February early March. Let the hunt begin! Although there will be a ton of hunters after two birds.
