I've lived in the area for a while, but never have tried to get up to the areas from Lake Owen to Rob Roy before mid to late June. How early is the melt off, and when is the earliest a person can typically get up there without a snowmobile or tracked ATV? I'm wanting to do a spring bear hunt up there.

The way the snow is out there this year you might make it up there by the time big game seasons open in the Fall!

The flanks of the medicine bow are showing now... the next few months leaves it up in the air as most of our snow comes Mar/Apr, but if it's not too bad then you can probably make it uo there by Memorial Weekend.
