Anyone used smooth on EA 40 that is 15 years old? I haven't built bows for about that time, and have unopened cans. I am planning on starting again. I called Smooth on and the Tech said he knows of bowyers using it after it is 20 years old. Anyone else?

Hate to admit it but I agree with Roy. Cheap insurance. Why risk your bow and safety over the cost of glue?

Yes, the bow components are way more than $30 glue

From their web site. --------------------------------------
Store and use material at room temperature (73°F/23°C). This product has a limited shelf life and should be used as soon as possible.
-------------------------------------- chuck it. nothing worse than spending the money on materials and time in on a build just to have it delaminate during the final stages just cuz you used old glue.

when I taught kids how to make bows in my shop class, I ordered new smooth on every year. Any left over at the end of the year got used for other stuff but not to laminate bow limbs.
