I pulled my camera cards this past week and had a look. A large bear triggered one camera 1-5-17, one of the nicer bucks that had been around still had his antlers 1-19-17, another nice 8 point was on camera 2-27-17, and yet another rack buck was seen 3-3-17. This was all about 15 miles north of the NC line, and on the eastern side of the Blue Ridge. A local farmer some 6 miles further south viewed a doe with twin fawns last week!
I didn't see ANY cats on any of the 7 cameras, but have a couple of photos and videos of "coyotes" that look more like a red wolf.

I found this interesting. The article dates to 12/02 and indicates that grey wolves were to be released into Virginia and West Virginia beginning in 2003.
