Hey guys and gals! I am new to the twin cities area and would like to be able to bow hunt turkey but do not even know where to start. I used to live near Rochester and still have access to a couple of small parcels down there. But I would like someplace that I am able to go within 30-45 minutes of the metro for weekends that I am not able to make it down to Rochester but am able to do just a morning or just an afternoon hunt. Any insights? Anyone have any luck or recommendations on any of the WMAs that are available? Thanks!

I have scouted there a little big in the far northern half and it was largely swamp land that is not traversable without waders. I will be looking into the southern half this weekend. Is that half less swampy? Thanks!

I have shot at a few turkeys in the wet swamp and dry canary grass.

CA and multiple smaller WMAs near the Twin Cities are big enough to hold birds.
