A few guidance questions.

Have you been elk hunting before? What kind of shape are you in? Do you have any idea of which state you want to hunt? If this is your first elk hunt, what do you want from your hunt?

Speaking from my own experience, most elk hunters have been in your shoes. When I wanted to go on my first elk hunt, I looked for someone to go with. Ultimately, I couldn't find anyone who was on the same wavelength as what I wanted so I went on my own.

If you are a veteran elk hunter and looking for someone to team up with, I would suggest offering up a few more details.
