Who has been out chasing the turkeys this year? I will be out this weekend trying to shoot one early mornings. Then I will be planting 1200 trees throughout the day. Good luck to everyone and stay safe.

Got a Tom this afternoon. He came in and turned away, I angled the arrow in just above its leg. I had a string tracker, but didn't need it, excellent blood trail all the way to the turkey. Bow is a Black Widow PLX, 47#@28". Full length Gold Tip arrow with 100 grain brass insert and 160 grain Grizzly head.

Are the birds still active in the Roscommon area? I may come up and give it a try this coming week.

Not sure about Roscommon but they are pretty hened up in the South Haven area.

I'm in Mecosta county, and still seeing Toms strutting with hens in the fields. Haven't heard any gobbling for a few days. Still quite a bit of road traffic from hunters here though.

Thanks, I was afraid that all the hens may have been setting for a while and that the gobblers may be shutting down.
