Seward area turkey hunting?

My dad and I are going to try the area around Seward next weekend for a turkey hunt. We have family there and access to some private land, we've pheasant hunted the area in the past but never turkey hunted there.
Does anyone have experience near here? What can we expect in terms of turkey populations?
