hunting the swamps

Hey all, I know that many of you hunt zone 11, ive been scouting a lot in the area and have noticed that the trend is seemingly endless, flat swamps. How do you guys hunt this terrain? Should I try to find a way into some highground or less thick areas in the swamp, or do you have best luck hunting the edges? I am a inexperienced hunter so any input is greatly appreciated!
