When I was in Vietnam attached to Naval Advisory Group, I went to one of my Vietnamese counterparts house in the village for dinner one night. We drank a lot of rice whiskey and when I asked him what the meat was he just barked like a dog. Honestly, I can't remember what it tasted like as we were pretty well hammered by then. I do love dogs and there is no way I would eat one even if I was drunk!

I'm all for eating what you kill. Coyote reminds me too much of my dog though, so I have never killed one.

I took apart one that had been trapped in northern MN. #48, skinned out. Big frickin' dog.
Didn't find any parasites, but I would just as soon pass. That said, I think slow-raosted and well-done like pork would be the way to go - especially if you had enough sauce on it to kill the taste....
