Congrats!

Dang, I think I might be joining you but in Unit 20. Now I am second guessing myself hoping I filled my app out correctly for a bull tag

Shoot me your email address in a PM. Congratulations! You'll kill a monster if you take your time and don't kill the first bull.

Steve, that's awesome!

You also drew a deer tag

Yea, but my deer tag I can get every year in my GMU.

Gotta get me some lotto tickets tonight.

If I had a job, I think I would quit to hunt this fall.

Look at the CPW moose harvest locations. Scour the drainages listed and, as mentioned above, you stand a chance of killing a big boy.

Congratulations, Steve! I know you will find a monster bull up there!

Sounds like Marv Clyncke also drew 20.

Congrats to you guys and Marv. My youngest son spends a lot of time in 20 taking photos of the moose. he says their not always around Brainerd Lake anymore, which is good, but around the surrounding meadows and lakes.

Good luck to all!

Def brush up on how moose are scored.

In the pic above, the bull laying down wont scored worth a crap as it looks like he only has single brow tines. Even tho he looks like a dandy, you wont get the length measurement of each antler. Which could easily add up to 60-70 inches.

Minimum 2 brow tines are needed to get that measurement

Start looking at moose pics!

Here are a couple Cameron Pass moose pics for you.

Which one would score better?

Yep, the ones in BBrowns photos are pretty and fun to look at, but I'd shop around a lot more that unit unless it was getting down to the wire. They come much bigger in 19.
