I dont have any cameras out yet but had I big ole boar in my garbage shed a few mornings ago. He tore the door off and made a real mess.

A few years ago Art Hyde and myself were firing up some baits with fryer oil and Gold Rush. We didn't get all of them done so Art told me to put the last two remaining jugs in the bait shed. I asked him, "Aren't you worried about the bears?" "He said the bears have never touched that shed." Well he can't say that anymore as the next morning this was what the outside of the shed looked like. Both jugs of fryer oil with Gold Rush were out in the campground torn apart.

wow thats a mess. When we'd close up the cabin we had a steel entry door that just "sat" in front of the glass door that was on the hinges then had a 4x4 in angles across the doorway. We left some bait barrels in the cabin like dummies and a bear bent that steel door in half at the 4x4 to get in. Wish we would have taken a pic of that.

I believe it is illegal to kill a sow with cubs, only a poacher or a greenhorn would do that.

A few bears with just one being big but ad this critter show up. Local township employee spotted one of these close by and I think this confirms it.

Wow that boar looks like he's photoshopped. Sleek black with that dark muzzle. I would love to see him show up on my bait. I heading up to northern WI to get more bait from Bobs Bait in Phelps and check cameras. Wish me luck!!

I ot up north last weekend and got bait. I'm hunting a spot that was used last season and had a ton of activity. We baited Thursday afternoon and were cleaned out under next day a bunch of different bears on cam with 2 really solid boar. Couple mediums and one momma with 2 cubs. Hope she moves on.

I was out in a food plot on June 30th walking along looking at the ground and I heard some huffing sounds. I looked up and there was a bear moving through the food plot making huffing sounds. My first thought was "he's brown". Later I checked cameras and found out that one of my camera's got a picture of me and the brown bear. Pretty cool!

Cool bear...we shot two color phase bears (chocolate) a few years ago. Less than 1% of color phase bears here in Wisconsin.

This bear guards and sleeps at his bait constantly, he has been doing this ever since we started baiting this bait station almost two months ago. One thing strange about this bear is, he is a mature boar and we never seen him with a sow during the breeding season, which is winding down now.

Every time this bear comes to the bait he constantly plays with the camera but he never is rough with it, he just taps, touches, smells and stares at it.

This is a old boar, he is a fighter with many battle scars to prove it. We never get to excited about what bears are on our baits until mid August, by then we will have a good idea on what bears are committed to what bait stations.

Trapper - I use bear boxes on all my Coverts, if I didn't I probably wouldn't have any cameras left. Plenty of close-up videos and pic's of bears gnawing and grabbing the bear safes.

This guy should get your heart pumping. Picture was back in early June. I'm done baiting around my place as my hunt for the disabled youth hunter fell through. I really had some nice bears working my baits here. I'm bummed he couldn't make the hunt. Next year though I'll be looking for another youth.

I got up to camp this weekend. Put up a new camera from spartan with cell service pretty cool to be real time photos. Now I have a big boar on the bait and he has taken it over. He shows up between 5 and 7 in the evening and doesn't leave til 5am. He eats then lays down and sleeps at the bait then eats some more and sleeps some more. Is this common. He has slept on bait for the last 4 days. But almost none of the other bears have been there in the last week. Do bigger bears chase everybody off?

Chris - The double ear tagged bear is now on death row. Hope keeps his nose clean. I had a huge boar around my place for seven years and two years ago he showed up with a ear tag and then two weeks later he had two. I saw him the following spring twice and haven't seen him since.

I have been staying out of this thread till now. Didn't want to get to hyped up before season but we packed the trailer with bait today and are headed to NW Minnesota Saturday to start baiting. Figured it was time to take a look. Wow there are some nice bears on those pics, you guys know what it is all about and how to do it.
Mike, I wonder if that monster pic you posted back in June could be the one I was after last year. He is certainly in the same size ballpark. Has the one you posted been seen on camera more than once? I am pretty sure I was just too late at getting a bait in where mine was and he had moved on following whatever sows he thought were worth chasing.
