Boilerplate hunt report

Talking hunting with a couple of buddies on email this morning and I got to thinking, the way the last couple of seasons have gone I'm gonna develop a boilerplate hunt report. That way if anyone asks how it's going I can just cut and paste, I don't have to waste time reliving the horror while I type. In the rare event that something noteworthy actually happens then I can just amend it.
Here it is, maybe others can relate.
Headed out this morning at 0-dark thirty. Walked almost a mile in to my stand, climbed up and remembered that my release was still in the truck. Climbed down and went back to get the release. Jumped a nice buck on the way back in. Climbed back into the stand and about 15 minutes in had to take a crap. Seriously considered crapping off the stand but figured that was a bad idea. Back down again. Finally back up in the tree and settled in about 90 minutes after sunrise. Sweating like a pig. Sat for 3 hours, saw 84 squirrels and 1 small doe. Figured I’d shoot the doe but couldn’t draw the bow. In a frustrated knee-jerk reaction listed all of my hunting equipment on Craigslist. Deleted the listing after 3 hours, realizing my mistake. Heading to Dick’s at lunch for some Buck Bomb and a better grunt tube, because I had an epiphany that more stuff will solve all my problems.
Hmmm. This sounds more like a Jeb report LOL
LMAO, I can relate BRUCE!
That about sums it up! hahaha...
Saw one small doe = goes on the highlight reel!
Sounds like my season minus the one doe lol.
Hahaha!
It seems as though we are beginning to reach the point in the off season where some of us are starting to show signs of lack of hunting.
"Headed out this morning at 0-dark thirty. Walked almost a mile in to my stand". Some %^$#*&^%I stole it. Went to check my trail cams. Some #%^*&@#$%^& stole them. Walked back out to the truck. Some #^%&*$% broke into it and stole the rest of my gear. Got into the truck and noticed the parking ticket on the windshield. Went home.
drslyr, thankfully I haven't had anything stolen yet. But I'm sure the clock is ticking on that one. The rest is based mostly in fact, only slightly embellished.
I've had it all, dropping a deuce and stepping in it, fall on my face and break my bow sight, flashlight dead and fall on my face, submerge foot in water in freezing temps, an idiot lit my bow hoist rope on fire, lost lost lost, hundred branches in the eyeball, arrow blowing up of course while shooting at a deer, stepping on yellow jacket nest, ah the list goes on!
Under 5 months??? Damn, I need to go buy more stuff...
I already did. 2 new trail cams and 2 sets of lone wolf climbing sticks which by the way are in stock and 50bucks off this wk end at the lone wolf website.
